meeeeeow

i just played this little trick (mean joke?) on mini and lola. i found this site that has a variety of meow mp3s and started playing them on my computer. as soon as they heard them (in the middle of beating the crap out of each other), they stoped and ran over to the computer. they kept climbing all over me, sniffing the computer, and trying to figure out who or what was meowing! each time i played the sound of a crying kitten, i could swear they were particularly alert (but ok, maybe i'm projecting). though they had been in the middle of a fierce playfight beforehand, after i stopped playing the sounds, they jumped off the couch together and started hugging and licking each other. hmmmmm. can kitties talk to each other??
