good news for lolikins

i've been trying out a new food for lola. she's been on a prescription diet for far too long now, and permanently remaining on it just won't be feasible for her health or my pocketbook. for her last 4 feedings, i've been adding just a spoonful of california natural's deep oceanfish canned food. it's protein source is tuna, mackerel, and salmon. although it contains brown rice, lola actually seems to be responding positively to it! by that, i mean she hasn't had any better or worse poopoos. usually when lola eats even a lick of mini's food, she experiences looser poopoos the same night. this stuff hasn't increased her frequency, output, or consistency. (isn't it great that i know this much detail about my kitty's poo? what a life). anyhoo, this further confirms my suspicion that lola is allergic to mammals and poultry. she would make my mom proud.
