lola is in the process of being diagnosed with a chronic digestive disorder, just like yours truly! all signs point to inflammatory bowel disease or colitis. right now, we are trying to eliminate the possibility of all parasites, including giardia and coccidia, a helicobacter infection, and cancer.

tomorrow she is going to the vet for lower GI x-rays, though those usually don't yield any good information. i'm going to push the vet to do an endoscopy and biopsy, even if it costs a bajillion dollars. he hasn't done a CBC yet, so hopefully eosinophilic enteritis can be confirmed or rejected as well.

imminent posts will probably be about lola's treatments, rather than cutie-patootie pictures of the kittens. please think good thoughts for lola! i think her condition can be managed -- especially since i am a GI whiz -- but it's going to be expensive and stressful for both kitty and mommy.
