i just returned from a trip to dc. a friend took care of the furry ones for a couple days, but then they were on their own for a whole 48 hours! i came back to no obvious signs of destruction, save for a lone towel that has been shredded thoughtfully by kitty claws. the most shocking thing was that mini has grown like a weed in just 4 days! she's not so mini anymore -- she's actually catching up to lola in size, and her face looks more mature. my little mini is growing up!
i woke up in the morning to find both of them shnoozing contently on the bed. once they saw i was awake, they both climbed up on me, hugged and licked each other, and we all had a big snugglefest. since then, they have been doing many adorable things (mini looking out the window wondrously while lola cozies up behind her) and sticking close to my side. lola is out of heat, which means that she is back to her "please, bitch" attitude. oh well -- we still had a lovely reunion anyway! she let me put my hat on her though you can see she was not exactly happy. here are some reunion photos, because i love my kitties.
